EMDR Therapy
Healing Trauma and Reclaiming Your Life
Are You Struggling with Painful Memories?
Do distressing memories from your past or patterns continue to surface, leaving you overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck? Do you experience emotional triggers that seem to come out of nowhere? Perhaps you’ve tried talk therapy before but still feel weighed down by trauma, PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder), or deep-seated emotional wounds.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR Therapy) is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps people heal from traumatic experiences. Whether you’re struggling with recent events that were troubling, unresolved pain from childhood trauma, or having difficulty reducing unhealthy coping mechanisms, this therapy can help your brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer hold power over you. EMDR provides a structured way to release emotional burdens and regain control over your life.
As a certified EMDR therapist, I specialize in guiding clients through the healing process in a way that feels safe and is structured and effective. EMDR is not about reliving your trauma but rather helping your brain process it in a way that reduces its emotional charge. Many people find that EMDR leads to lasting relief, greater self-compassion, and a renewed sense of peace.
Healing is possible, no matter how long you’ve been carrying the weight of your past. If you’re ready to break free from the pain and find a way forward, EMDR may be the solution you’ve been searching for.
You’re Not Broken—You’re Human, and You’re Not Alone
Experience True Relief from the Burden of the Past
Living with the lingering effects of trauma can feel like you’re carrying an invisible weight—always heavy, always there. Whether you’re struggling with flashbacks, overwhelming emotions, or a sense of being stuck, you may be looking for something deeper than just talk therapy. EMDR Therapy offers a path toward lasting relief and true healing.
As an EMDR therapist, I work with people who are ready to move through the emotional residue of painful experiences—not just manage symptoms, but truly shift what’s happening at the root. Whether the source of pain is a single traumatic event or years of chronic stress, my approach is grounded in helping your nervous system process and release what’s been held for far too long.
In our work together, we’ll start by creating a sense of safety and trust. We begin by discussing what’s bringing you in, identifying key memories and patterns, and exploring how trauma is currently affecting your life. I integrate EMDR for trauma with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic strategies, tailoring each session to meet you where you are. We don’t rush into processing—we lay a solid foundation first. That means building skills to regulate your emotions, strengthen your inner resources, and increase your sense of control.
Once you’re ready, we begin the reprocessing phase. Through guided sets of eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps your brain integrate distressing memories without becoming overwhelmed. Clients often find that emotions and beliefs that once felt stuck or intense begin to shift, often in ways that feel both natural and deeply relieving. This can be especially powerful when using EMDR for PTSD, childhood trauma and emotional abuse.
Sessions are collaborative and paced according to your needs. Some days we may spend time resourcing and building your resilience; other days may involve focused reprocessing of memories. I’ll always guide you with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your pace. Over time, clients often find themselves responding to life in new ways—with more ease, clarity, and a renewed sense of self.
With over a decade of experience specializing in trauma recovery, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside many individuals who’ve found transformation through this work. I regularly witness the profound shifts that can occur when someone shows up with courage and commitment to the process. If you’re ready to move beyond survival and into healing, I would be honored to support you.
